A Study on Metaphorical Expression: Examining the Situations that Make Senior Year Students Enrolled in Classroom Teaching Programs Anxious

The present phenomenological study aims to understand, through images and metaphors, how senior class teaching majors perceive their studies at the faculty of education. group was assembled via criterion sampling, a method purposive sampling. consists 12 (10 females 2 males) from education Turkish public university during 2017–2018 academic year males). data gathered focus meetings analyzed using content descriptive analysis techniques. All prospective teachers are concerned about passing KPSS recruitment exam, according study. They used metaphors such as "a dark figure in front blackboard, pondering, inside out, hopeless students, with split face, question marks his mind, student confusion." Half participants stated that tests should be made fairer, while nearly same number pedagogical training for certification eliminated profession valued. In addition expressing concerns social pressure oppression, requested they respected by society not oppressed.
